How to spin up a personal brand website using BlitzAdmin

Task Library

Provision a personal brand WordPress site from BlitzAdmin, point DNS, then fill it with the person’s real photos, talks, and articles. Not a client-facing tool. The long SOP is How to spin up a new personal brand website using BlitzAdmin.

Category: Website Building and QA

Inputs

  • The person’s real name and the domain they will use
  • BlitzAdmin access (team only)
  • DNS control for that domain
  • A real headshot and at least one piece of their own content (talk, article, review, podcast)

Steps

  1. Confirm the site must stay a personal brand for a named person, not a company homepage.
  2. Create the WordPress install in BlitzAdmin. Copy the DNS records it prints. Do not publish host IDs or account numbers.
  3. Point the domain. Wait until the hostname serves a page.
  4. Mint a WordPress application password for the person user. Store it in the vault. Do not paste it into chat. SOP: Application passwords for your AI agent.
  5. Set the author to the person. Install the personal-brand template. Add the real headshot. No generated faces of real people.
  6. Publish one real page or post from their own words. Then Person schema. Then a sitemap check.
  7. Leave the receipt: live URL, author, what is still empty. Stop. Do not sell a $99 package on this page.

Definition of done (QA checklist)

  • Public hostname loads
  • Author is the person, not admin-only
  • Application password stored, not pasted
  • At least one real content piece live (not lorem, not “First Last”)
  • Receipt on the Basecamp to-do
