Use for Content Planning and Video Topics

Task Library

Turn the completed Topic Wheel into a prioritized one-minute video recording plan, so content production runs from a mission-anchored backlog instead of day-of improvisation.

Category: Strategy & Measurement

Use this when all three rings of the Topic Wheel are mapped and it's time to convert the wheel into recording sessions, a content calendar, and shipped videos.

Inputs

  • The completed Topic Wheel (WHY center, HOW spokes, WHAT items)
  • Signal on which questions matter most: frequency in sales calls, search/keyword data, past content performance
  • The owner's recording availability (phone, no studio needed – see /one-minute-video-guide)

Steps

  1. Export the WHAT ring into a flat topic list, keeping each item tagged with its HOW spoke so coverage per pillar stays visible.
  2. Prioritize by demand: questions customers ask most (and searches with real volume) first. The wheel says what's on-mission; demand says what's next.
  3. Balance across spokes: schedule so every HOW pillar ships content each month rather than exhausting one spoke while others sit empty.
  4. Batch topics into recording sessions – a prioritized list of titles per session so the owner answers question after question on camera in one sitting (one take, one minute, unscripted, per /one-minute-video-guide).
  5. Feed recorded videos into the Content Factory pipeline (/content-factory) so each becomes an article, clips, and social posts – one wheel item, many assets.
  6. Mark items shipped on the wheel and refill: new customer questions get added to the WHAT ring as they appear, keeping the backlog alive.
  7. Measure it: apply the 90/10 content strategy and MAA – topics that perform earn follow-ups and promotion; spokes that consistently underperform get re-examined at the next wheel review.

Definition of done (QA checklist)

  • Flat, prioritized topic list exported from the WHAT ring with spoke tags
  • Next recording session scheduled with its batch of titles
  • Monthly coverage across all HOW spokes (no dead pillars)
  • Shipped items marked on the wheel; new questions added to the backlog
  • Topic performance reviewed in the MAA cycle to steer future priority
  • Linked back to the definitive article and relevant siblings
  • Complies with Blog Posting Guidelines (if it publishes content)

Example(s)

  • Example needed – run the Meta-Article Prompt after first real run. (The hub at /topic-wheel links live examples; pull the closest match into this slot.)
