Connect Basecamp to BlitzBase

BlitzBase works best when your agent already knows what is happening with each client — and for a lot of teams, that conversation lives in Basecamp. This branch of BlitzBase connects the two: every mapped Basecamp project thread flows into that client knowledge-base folder as readable files, refreshed automatically every morning.

What does the Basecamp connection give you?

Four things. Your client project threads — Access, Updates and their continuations, Meetings, all of it — land in each client folder, so the agent reads the real communication history instead of asking you to paste it. Your own check-in answers (like End of Day reports) sync with every reply attached, which means “what did your partner say in reply to my report yesterday?” becomes a two-second local read. A daily schedule keeps it all current without you touching anything — built on launchd, so it catches up when your Mac wakes instead of silently skipping like cron does. And for anything newer than this morning, there is a live search: find a person talking about a topic in the last three days.

What does setup look like?

If you run BlitzBase, you do not need instructions — tell your agent “connect my Basecamp” and it walks you through the whole thing: registering a free Basecamp app, one Terminal paste to authorize, mapping your projects to your client folders, and installing the daily schedule. About five minutes, no installs, and your credentials stay in a folder that never leaves your machine.

What changes day to day?

The questions you could not ask before just start working: “What is the latest in this client’s updates thread?” “Did anyone reply to yesterday’s report?” “Pull the access details for the client site.” The agent answers from the synced files — local, current as of this morning, no tab-hopping. It is the same principle as the rest of the BlitzBase system: real context in, better work out.

How was this built?
