Film Conference Presentations

Task Library

Record conference talks and audience Q&A so one speaking slot yields months of raw Content Factory material plus E-E-A-T proof of authority.

Category: Content Factory – Produce

Use this when you or a client is speaking at a conference, meetup, or industry event – the talk and the Q&A are both raw content.

Inputs

  • A confirmed speaking slot and the organizer's permission to record
  • A phone (plus tripod or a front-row volunteer) positioned close enough for clear audio
  • Backup audio if available (lav mic, or request the venue's recording feed)
  • Access to the Content Library Google Drive folder

Steps

  1. Before the event, confirm recording permission with the organizer and ask whether they record officially – always run your own phone recording as backup regardless.
  2. Position the phone front and center at eye level, framed on the speaker, close enough that voice is clear over room noise.
  3. Record the host's introduction of the speaker – third-party introductions are E-E-A-T endorsement material (SAE Stage 3 content).
  4. Record the entire talk in one continuous take. Do not stop between sections; Process will cut it.
  5. Record ALL of the audience Q&A. Every audience question is a real customer question – each one is a future one-minute video topic for the Topic Wheel WHAT ring.
  6. Capture stills and b-roll: the room, the stage, the badge, the speaker mid-gesture. These are the real photos the article will need (no stock).
  7. Name files YYYY-MM-DD-eventname-talk and upload video, audio, and photos to the Content Library Drive folder.
  8. Log in the Content Library tracker; flag the intro clip as endorsement material and list the Q&A questions as new Topic Wheel entries.

Definition of done (QA checklist)

  • Full talk and full Q&A captured with intelligible audio
  • Host introduction captured (endorsement/E-E-A-T asset)
  • Audience questions extracted and added to the Topic Wheel queue
  • Event photos captured for article imagery and speaking-proof on the personal brand site
  • Files uploaded to the Content Library and logged for the Process stage
  • Linked back to the definitive article and relevant siblings

Example(s)

  • Example needed – run the Meta-Article Prompt after first real run. Candidate: Dennis Yu's conference talks, which feed both articles and the speaking-engagement proof used for authority building.
